6 Los Cabos restaurants worth the ride (and why you shouldn’t drive there)

Some of the best tables in Los Cabos are far from the hotel zone, down dark roads you won’t want to drive after a couple of margaritas. Here are six dinners worth planning your night around.

The best dinners in Los Cabos end with someone else driving you home.

The 6 at a glance

  • Flora Farms: farm-to-table in the foothills of San José
  • Acre: gardens and craft cocktails near San José
  • El Farallon: dinner on the cliffs at Pedregal
  • Sunset Monalisa: golden hour with a view of the Arch
  • Manta: Pacific Rim flavors at The Cape
  • Nicksan: a longtime favorite for sushi

1. Flora Farms

A working organic farm in the foothills above San José del Cabo, with a restaurant that cooks what it grows. Come for dinner or brunch, and ask about cooking classes and farm tours. Reservations are a must.

2. Acre

Set on a lush property near San José, Acre is known for its garden setting and creative cocktail program. Arrive before sunset so you have time to walk the grounds before you sit down.

3. El Farallon

Carved into the rocks at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, El Farallon serves the catch of the day on lantern-lit terraces just above the waves. It is a splurge, so save it for a special occasion and book a few weeks ahead.

4. Sunset Monalisa

As the name suggests, this one is all about golden hour, with terraces overlooking the Arch and tasting menus that turn dinner into the whole evening. Ask for a table with a view when you reserve.

5. Manta

At The Cape hotel, just outside Cabo San Lucas, Manta pairs Mexican ingredients with Pacific Rim flavors in a stylish oceanfront setting. Arrive early for a drink with a view.

6. Nicksan

For sushi, locals have been going to Nicksan for years. It is a more relaxed night out than the cliffside spots and a good pick when you want a break from Mexican food.

How to make the night easy

Book your table first, then tell us the time. You can book a transfer each way, or choose our Open Service, a private vehicle and driver by the hour (four-hour minimum), and your driver stays with you for the whole night, even if you add a stop for drinks.

Prices, hours and menus change, so confirm the details with each restaurant when you reserve.
